GRETCHEN PRIMACK'S NEW BOOK OF POEMS

It is tempting to  write all manner of praise about Gretchen Primack's shining spirit,her mastery of the written language and the seamless way she manages her life and her writing. It is all true and well deserved. But the best way to get  to know Gretchen's heart is to read her work. Her   new book of poems, KIND, will be launched next month, March 2013. Here is what she has to say about it,

"The book is about our dynamic with (other) animals, and also what it feels like to be the kind of person who cares about (other) animals in a culture that has such a schizophrenic relationship with them. (We buy hundred-dollar dog beds for one species and put another on our plates.) "
